Description:
The VMware® IT Academy program is an initiative designed to provide educational institutions and their students access to high-quality software and educational content, and help them in their qualification and experience with the most widely used virtualization technology worldwide.
This session will analyse the novelties and characteristics of the VMware® IT Academy project, among which are the new training contents, changes in the contextualization of the certifications and the tools and materials that the program supports.
Among the most noteworthy novelties is the new course, Software Defined IT using VMware, academic version of the renowned course VMware vSphere: ICM. The course deals with the installation, configuration and management of the Data Center, adds content that delves into the virtualization and management of NSX networks, revises vSAN architectures and covers vRealize, as a support tool for monitoring and problem solving, both in physical systems, such as virtual systems or Cloud.
The session presents, as a highlight of the academic project, the incorporation for calls for training of instructors for the member centres of the VMware® IT Academy program assigned to PUE, along with a tour of the updated resources and the set of available certifications in the program.
PUE is the only entity recognized by VMware® with the figure of VMware® Regional IT Academy in Spain and whose mission is the dissemination and management of this academic program in our country
