Description:
Internet of Things is the present and the future of technology. With the aim of being a reference multinational in everything related to IoT and be able to be present in all connectable devices, Microsoft has developed Windows 10 IoT Core.
Windows 10 IoT Core is a reduced version of Windows 10 optimized for small Mini-PCs (Raspberry Pi 2 and 3, Dragonboard 410c and MinnowBoard Turbot / MAX), for products that are coming under the umbrella of the Internet of Things and, in general, for the embedded sector. In addition, Windows 10 IoT Core uses the API Universal Windows Platform (UWP), making the creation and development of large IoT-based solutions as easy as possible and allowing us to bring out that maker we carry inside.
Throughout this workshop we will follow all the necessary process to create a prototype on Windows 10 IoT Core, starting with the installation and configuration of W10 IoT Core on a Raspberry Pi 3 board, followed by the download of the appropriate version of Visual Studio to create and develop our first application to finally upload it to Microsoft Azure.
This workshop is part of the Microsoft Imagine Academy initiative, Microsoft's educational program designed so that schools can train their students in Microsoft technologies with the highest quality and recognition.
Among the resources available for the active centres in the Microsoft Imagine program, is the download of the Windows 10 IoT Core operating system, making it easier to teach and show students how to implement IoT thanks to the tools that Microsoft makes available to us.
Microsoft Imagine Academy offers access to software, updated curricula and teaching resources designed to train and certify students and professors in Microsoft technologies. Students acquire valuable knowledge to specialize in their curricular stage and maximize their chances of success in their future professional career.
The Microsoft Imagine Academy curriculum is structured into learning pathways that guide students and teachers to obtain the certificates and knowledge needed for tomorrow's jobs.
PUE is the reference partner of Microsoft in Spain for the dissemination and implementation of the Microsoft Imagine Academy initiative in our country. With more than 200 approved MIA centres, PUE manages everything necessary so that interested training centres can become official training centres in Microsoft technologies with the figure of Microsoft Imagine Academy Members.
