EU Digital Skills
DigComp: European Union Digital Competence Framework
Description:
Digital competencies refer to the set of knowledge, skills, and abilities that enable individuals to effectively, critically, and creatively use information and communication technologies (ICT).
The European Framework for Digital Competence for Citizens is a reference developed by the European Commission that defines the essential digital competencies in today's digital society and the capabilities needed to create, communicate, and solve problems with technology. It consists of 5 key areas covering basic digital skills to more advanced skills, further broken down into more than 21 specific skills.
These 5 areas of digital competencies not only provide the ability to harness the wealth of new possibilities associated with digital technologies and the challenges they pose but are increasingly necessary to meaningfully participate in the knowledge society and economy of the 21st century.
This presentation will explain in detail the European Framework for Digital Competence for Citizens and how it can be used to assess and improve citizens' digital capabilities in different contexts.
It will also demonstrate how the IC3 Digital Literacy certifications from Certiport and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) align with these 21 competencies outlined by the EU.
PUE Academy, as a Microsoft Global Training Partner and Certiport Solution Provider, aims to promote and disseminate IC3 and Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in Spain. Through our services as a Training & Certification Center (TCC) and Academy Support Center (ASC), we make ourselves available to training centers to access the MSLE (Microsoft Lean for Educators) program under the best conditions, adapting to their needs and realities.
