In order to bring the educational community a solution for official training in its students' Big Data technologies, Cloudera designs and presents its Cloudera Academic Program (CAP) initiative, facilitating curricular materials, technological solutions, exercises and other benefits to train students in the technologies of the present and the future.

After an introduction on the benefits of the CAP and the way in which educational institutions can subscribe, a workshop will be presented, which will show, in a simple way, how to implement in the classroom the courses and technical solutions proposed by Cloudera for training students in Big Data and Apache Hadoop.

This workshop will explain how to impart the official Red Hat System Administration (I and II) course by IT teachers participating in the RHA project. This level of knowledge prepares students for RHCSA certification.

The Red Hat System Administration I course provides a knowledge base for entry level students who wish to become expert administrators of Linux systems. Key command-line concepts and other enterprise-level tools will be addressed.

Red Hat System Administration II addresses in detail corporate Linux administration, which includes file and partition systems, logical volumes, SELinux, firewall functions, and troubleshooting.

It will show the different educational resources that the Red Hat Academy educational program makes available to the participating centers for the delivery of these official courses of Administration in Linux: training, documentation (available in Spanish) and a pool of internships that are carried out in a complete laboratory based on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution.

Finch is a small robot designed for the educational field with the objective of inspiring students who are starting in the world of programming through a physical and tangible representation of their Java code, among others.

In this workshop you will get a practical vision of how to program a 2D interface using the Java language so that the Finch robot becomes interactive through its sensors of light, proximity and temperature.

Description:

Presentation of available academic resources for Approved Academic Partners (LPI AAP) for the development of skills and preparation of Linux certifications designed by the prestigious LPI organization.

The second part of the presentation will show, in a practical way, the line of support curricula to basic and intermediate skills that, thanks to the alliance between LPI and the Cisco Networking Academy project, offers the NetAcad platform: Linux Unhatched, Linux Essentials and Linux I & II.

LPI is the worldwide reference framework, independent of distribution, for professional accreditations on Linux.

The purpose of LPI, as a non-profit organization, is to drive opportunities through open source solutions and make universally accessible, skill certification on Linux.

Description:

In this workshop several prototypes of IoT will be created using Raspberry Pi and GrovePi sensors.

The same prototypes created with the physical elements will also be simulated using the Cisco Packet Tracer tool thanks to the new IoT features that are incorporated in version 7.

The programming of the sensors and the actuators will be done through visual programming through the Prototyping Lab Cloud tool, available in the new IoT Fundamentals courses included in the Cisco Networking Academy program.

• Raspberry Pi: It is a low cost micro computer. IoT prototypes use GPIO ports to access different sensors and actuators.
• Cisco Prototyping Lab Cloud: It is a Cloud tool that allows to program the Raspberry Pi with python, javascript and with a visual programming language similar to scratch.
• • GrovePi: A plate that connects directly to the Raspberry Pi and allows connecting a large number of sensors and actuators without the need for electronics.

NoSQL technology was driven by leading Internet companies - including Google, Facebook, Amazon and LinkedIn - with the goal of overcoming the limitations of relational database technologies in their use with modern applications.
